Overview

The name MABAC dates from 1977 when the League was first set up. The prime mover was Alan Blatchford, who died in September 1980. He organised a running group at the British ACorporation works in Weybridge (now British Aerospace). Ralph Henley brought in runners from Matthew Arnold School, Ashford. Hence MA-BAC.

MABAC arranges a series of races thought the year aimed at the fun runner. Most are cross country events in the Surrey countryside. Points are awarded to each member that completes the course, also the first 6 men and the first 3 ladies from each club qualify for bonus points.
